Last February 18 the new tulip variety “Kim de Boer” was baptised at the high school “Martinus College” in Grootebroek, during the award ceremony of the Junior Tulip Forcing Project, a project in which the upper grades of the elementary schools in the West Friesland area compete with each other in forcing the most beautiful pot with tulip flowers.
