If the bulbs have been infected by leaf nematodes, the plants will remain shorter. Mostly they don’t flower and have deformed leaves, and this you can see especially in the young top leaves. Infected plants can infect healthy plants, during watering and rain fall. The leaves change color into brown and fall down finally. Varieties, which belong to the Asian hybrids the color, change into yellow. Oriental varieties change into brownish between the nerves.
